Scope: Poster
The typography was made with the font Berthold Akzidenz Grotesk. This poster is a direct product of the Destijl period. Mimicking an artwork previously designed by Henryk Berlewis, I chose a san serif and matched the colors to Berlewis’ poster. I modernized the content with information on how to help Haiti relief efforts after the disastrous earthquake. The strong contrast of primary colors is eye catching. Using a large font family enabled me to create a typographic hierarchy while utilizing only one font face.
